You need three. Marquis, Simon's, and Froehde. Together they confirm the sample is actually MDMA.

What Each Reagent Tells You

Marquis turns purple black for MDMA, MDA, and related compounds. It confirms you have an MDMA type substance, but it cannot tell MDMA from MDA.

Simon's separates MDMA from MDA. MDMA turns Simon's blue. MDA does not react. This is the key step, because MDA is stronger and lasts longer than MDMA, and the dose should be different.

Froehde is the third check. It reacts with MDMA and also catches cathinones, the stimulants sometimes sold as molly.

When all three agree, you have a real result.

The Order That Matters

1. Fentanyl strip first. Pressed pills sold as molly have been found with fentanyl

What a "Purple Result" Really Means

A lot of people run Marquis, see purple, and stop. That is a mistake. Purple only means an MDMA type compound. It could be MDA, which is a different drug with a different dose.

Run Simon's. Blue means MDMA. No reaction means MDA or something else.
